Aer Lingus is starting to make a name for themselves and Dublin as the latest Airport hub between the USA and Europe. When you add the quick 55 minute flight between Liverpool and Dublin – it’s no longer necessary to make a trip to London to access a good value long-haul flight.

Alternatively, Air France operate out of Manchester Airport – but you will have to take a detour to Paris or Amsterdam through their partner KLM. This may present a saving of roughly £20, but you will add another 1h30 if not longer onto your total journey time each way.

Tips:

  1. When travelling the USA remember to complete your ESTA application a minimum of 72 hours before you fly – otherwise you will not be able to pass border control!
